Initial Proposal: Combining the aspects of Lighting and Costume Design, I want to create a unique custom LED outfit that uses devices that incorporate coding to pixel map lights on the clothing. From a wrist band that syncs to music or has different pixel mapping functions to a whole full-body outfit that uses LED lights to enhance the experience of the clothing, learning how to individually control each LED node, creating presets that allow people who wear the clothing to activate the pixel map controls and figuring out how to place LED nodes within an artifact of clothing is the sole purpose of this project. I intend to collaborate with a Costume Design MFA Graduate in the future to create a final project with a whole outfit but for this specific independent project, I am looking at an end goal of knowing the fundamentals of how to program pixel mapping functions with Arduino and creating several smaller prototypes that allows me to be prepared when I start collaborating.
Final Product: LED Glasses with a 4x12 Grid coded through Arduino
